As a Pediatric and Adolescent gynecologist, the education and empowerment of teens are dear to my heart. For this reason, I’d like to introduce #TeenTopics with The Period Doctor. These posts will be geared toward teens, but available for everyone. The topics will be marked with the doodle that you see here (on left) and will be created for sharing with any and all adolescent girls that you may know.

This is a short clip from my talk with @twst4girls regarding consent. I want so desperately for teens to feel empowered to say “NO” when they feel uncomfortable or unsafe. It’s my strong belief that their understanding and use of their “NO”, strengthens their understanding and use of their “YES”. #ChangeTheCycle
