This morning, I’m reminding myself that the stressors of today are often due to the answered prayers of yesterday.
I’ve been anxiously studying for my oral boards which are in 3 short weeks. I just finished being on call for the past 24hrs. Our PAG research abstract submission deadline is today. I have a flight to an incredible speaking engagement early tomorrow AM and need to pack. And I still have work today with 2 scheduled surgeries.
Now let’s flip that.
God has let me pass all of my board exams to this point, and I am finally preparing to take my most important one. I had a good call where my patients remained covered, and all are doing well. Research abstracts are done and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the field of PAG that I love so much. That leap of faith in July is getting divine confirmation so much so that people are interested and excited to have me as a guest on their platforms. I get to be in the operating room and a part of the team that impacts and saves lives. And most importantly, I literally prayed to be right here.
When stress starts to build in your life, I challenge you to take a moment to dissect the big picture and identify the answered prayers that allowed that stress into your life. It is my hope that this will promote more positive speech, more gratitude, and more than enough motivation to see it through.
Don’t let stress dim your light. Your shine is biblical. Your shine is Godly.
